Why is Charles actively promoting QuickBooks Online?
In full disclosure, I use QuickBooks Online for my tax practice. I am also a wholesale provider of this service, whereby I invoice clients monthly at a price significantly reduced from retail. Clients benefit with significant savings.
An Indispensable Business Tool
QBO provides clients with a relatively simple accounting/bookkeeping system to easily record and maintain their business transactions. QBO is maintained securely in the “Cloud” and allows me access to clients’ accounts in real time. Should a client have an accounting question, together we can review their accounts at the same time. Any issues can either be answered immediately or, if required, researched and promptly resolved.
In addition, having access to a client’s QBO facilitates preparing annual financial statements, preparing and filing HST returns, if required, and processing year-end tax returns whether T2 for corporations and Form T2125 Statement of Business or Professional Activities for unincorporated businesses.
